"Well maintained and spacious hostel with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji! I had some trouble with the laundry machines in which the dryers weren't working but the staff had fixed the problem the next morning and allowed me to dry my things before checking out. The surrounding area is residential so no restaurants or shopping nearby other than the conbini; most of your shopping and dining is closer to the station. The hostel is a bit of a far walk from the station if you've got luggage but the hostel...

"This is the best possible place you can stay in when you are in the Kawaguchiko area. At $50 a night, the full on view you get of Mt Fuji is priceless. Beautiful private room (if you opt for that) which is clean and cosy. The only con is that it’s a shared bathroom but it was equipped with real good soap and conditioner and clean as well. Highly recommended. "

"Very close to Kawaguchiko station. Clean and tidy. Has a microwave, a mini fridge and a kettle with a few options for tea. There are two convenience stores about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and Lake Kawaguchiko is about a 15 minute walk. Staff aren’t present on the property outside of cleaning (I think) which worked okay. We checked in and out by a tablet at the entrance. The bunk bed we had wasn’t super comfortable, but overall the place is definite worth the price. It was unfortunate...
