BOOKED ON EXPEDIA WITH A KOHO MASTERCARD. HOTEL POLICIES SECTION SAYS:
HOTEL DOES NOT ACCEPT CASH, BRING SAME CREDIT CARD AS USED TO BOOK THE ROOM WITH EXPEDIA, ALONG WITH GOVERNMENT ID.
WHEN I ARRIVED THE FRONT DESK SAID THEY WON'T ALLOW MY KOHO MASTERCARD TO BE USED FOR A DAMAGE DEPOSIT.
THE FRONT DESK STAFF ADVISED ME TO CALL EXPEDIA AND ASK FOR A REFUND; AND TO GO TO "ANY OTHER HOTEL" IN THE AREA WHO THEY SAID WOULD ALL ACCEPT MY CARD.
I STAYED DOWN THE STREET AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL.
EXPEDIA NOW SAYS I GET NO REFUND. $155 ROUGHLY.
THE HOTEL POLICIES PAGE DID NOT CLEARLY WARN ME THAT A KOHO MASTERCARD WITH MY NAME ON IT (NOT A DEBIT CARD, NOT A GIFT CARD) WOULD BE DENIED AT THE HOTEL'S FRONT DESK.
A CARELESS ATTITUDE TOWARD PEOPLE'S HARD-EARNED MONEY DURING TOUGH FINANCIAL TIMES, BE ADVISED IF YOU ARE USING KOHO MASTERCARD THIS VENDOR DOES NOT HAVE YOUR BACK.
