Allerdings ist man wirklich auf ein Auto angewiesen, denn im nahen Ortskern gibt es außer ein paar, bei uns leider geschlossenen Geschäften nichts nennenswertes. Außerhalb der Saison ist es außerdem schwierig, Aktivitäten im näheren Umkreis zu finden. Da hilft natürlich das inkludierte Schwimmbad, das allerdings auch oft zu gut besucht ist. "The House (Seeschwalbe) are quite nice, space for 2 adults and 2 children and the kitchen and bathroom are good and functional. The site itself is very nice with alot of facilities and a good restuarant with fair prices. However you have to pay for the electricity, and quite a large amount. Considering it was cold and we had to use the heating this meant we paid alot for electricity which meant the house was not as cheap as we thought. "Very dissapointed. Paid about €200 for a night, booked one family room, and got two separate rooms. There was no complimentary shower gel, no soap in one of the room, no bottles of water. Taps in sinks, bath and shower had not much pressure. TV in one room didn't work. Breakfast very poor and limited. Came by 9pm with 3 little hungry kids and the restaurant was already closed. Nice and huge bath in one of the room, like a little swimming pool. "

"Apt was spacious, richly appointed,modernly equipped, first rate linens. The restaurant is very good. Lena, Julian, and especially Gustaf were very helpful. Garage parking is a treat. Location perfect--right by the Lake It would have been nice to have laundry facilities for guests. My only negative which was for our apt 6--the view was of a pile of junk."

Lovely little hotel
"Charming small hotel visited a week before Easter 2024 - not their peak season so I suspect it is sometimes harder to get the lovely room on the 5th floor - but the room itself was a solid without being outstanding. The breakfast included in the room was decent - perhaps not as good as in some larger hotels but it would be unfair to expect them to provide as much variety in such a small hotel - and the made to order choose your eggs was a nice touch. The sauna area which we had to ourselves was certainly a highlight - being able to use it for 3 hours on our last day after check out was a great way to end the weekend. All in all, would happily recommend the place - centrally located in the old town of Waren from where you have a few restaurants you can get to as well.."
