"My husband and I had a great stay at Casita Cole from Feb1-April 5/2024 . Zindis was good to work with . Our house manager , Edgar is the greatest ! Any little issue we had he was right on it . On a larger issue he was so helpful He checked in with us a number of times to make sure all was going well . The world needs more Edgars ! "It was my first time coming to Costa Rica. Per the reviews, I decided to come here because they mentioned Eladio would take you places, and I’m so glad I did! He is very cordial and friendly and honest. There is a slight language barrier, but he tries his very best to give you the best experience. For the home, for the excursions. All absolutely amazing. "On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in...

"My partner and I spent a week at the White Cottage... aka Ginger & Cacao. It was exactly what we were looking for and needed. The property really is carved out of the jungle and the gardens surrounding the cottage are absolutely beautiful. It was very clear to us that there was considerable thought in both designing and maintaining the gardens. "We loved this house. It has a gorgeous view. We had access to a washer. There is a clothes line outside to dry the clothes. The clothes dried quickly as long as it didn’t rain. The air conditioning worked great upstairs. Like most Costa Rica rentals the air conditioning is just in the bedroom. Playa Conchal is our favorite beach. Not enough room to sleep 3 people comfortably, but perfect for a couple."

The property is wonderful, we hiked it almost everyday following the many trails and finding plateaus with amazing views of Lake Arenal. Sitting on the patio having a favourite beverage, we listened to howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys, and many species of birds including parrots and toucans. "We loved our stay!! Beach is 5 minutes away and this is up on a mountain so you have amazing views. Sunsets and ocean view were so gorgeous that my partner proposed right on our balcony!!! Our hosts stayed at another cabina onsite and were SO SO SO helpful. Coordinated a lot of activities for us. The view is unbeatable and it’s very quiet. Local feeling, not a touristy area.
