Very Nice Cabin
The cabin photos are true. This cabin is very clean and well maintained. The views of the river and woods are from almost every room. Perfect fire pit setting. Great place to stay with teenagers.

This is a lovely house, nicely decorated, in a lovely setting. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The baths are expansive and modern. I love how the upstairs has its own sitting area. The deck and outside area is very nice with a fire pit and hot tub, and you are literally right on the river, which has a lovely little waterfall! We visited the winery, which is just up the road, and it was really nice! Wine and food both very good and cute gift shop. The house was decorated for Christmas while we were there, and it was so pretty!

Great house!

Rustic luxury at a riverside haven!
To say the pictures don’t do this place is justice is an understatement! The pictures and descriptions are accurate but do not begin to depict how amazing this place is! It’s sooo much bigger than it looks and sooo much more amazing than you could imagine. After a long drive from Maryland to arrive here was such a welcome retreat. The place is immaculately clean, the many seating areas were so comfy and the beds were all super comfy. While keeping its rustic charm it still felt luxurious and relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with all you could need. I spent every morning sitting on the deck with my coffee waking up to the sounds of the river and the birds and the wind in the trees. One morning a hummingbird even popped up to say hello to me! The river was refreshing and we spent hours with our teen daughter fishing, swimming, and floating in it. The hot tub was relaxing after a long day of swimming and hiking. The pool tables and games were great and my daughter loved playing whenever we were having some downtime for the day. There is evens a little mini fridge upstairs to keep some drinks and snacks convenient while hanging out upstairs playing pool. There were only 3 of us but I’m excited to rent again and bring the rest of the family. There is so much room! Also the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet and there is a great view of Table Rock from the street too! We enjoyed Caesars Head State Park and the overlook and Devils Kitchen and Mountain House restaurant too!

We loved our stay
We had the best time. I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. Everything we wanted to do was just a short trip away. There was so much to do at the cabin we decided to set aside one day just to enjoy everything it had to offer. We would definitely book again.

This place very clean and private feeling. My kids absolutely loved the river rope swing, hot tub, and pool table. Close to town and all the hikes we like. Would highly recommend.

Great place for a relaxing family getaway
This cabin was perfect for our family. My teenage kids loved playing in the river and rafting down the waterfall right in the backyard. The house was clean and the game room did not disappoint!

Excellent property
We drowned some worms, swam in the river, relaxed in the hot tub, and thoroughly enjoyed the house. Showers kept us from making s’mores, but the view from the house and fire pit area is wonderful. Slept to the sound of the waterfall!

The house was great. It was well stocked, clean, with great amenities to include pool table, ping pong, bumper pool, hot tub, and easy river access. The fishing was great and the new deck was awesome!!

Spring break cabin trip
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for relaxation with some activities as well. Our kids very much enjoyed the pool table and ping-pong. The hot tub was awesome and they even took a dip in the very cold creek behind the house! It was relaxing in the evening by the fire pit… a neighbor even provided a great wood for a very reasonable cost. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could need. Great get away!

Away From It All
We spent Easter weekend at Riverdaze and truly enjoyed time away from everything. If you're looking for a quiet place removed the hustle and bustle, you'll enjoy time at this property. Very clean, plenty of room, and quiet.

Perfect location!
The house is next to a beautiful creek with a waterfall. It's close to hiking, lakes and small towns to explore. The house was just as described. It's fun to fish in the creek. Billiards, a poker table and ping pong are fun. The wifi works very well. TVs are well-equipped with lots of channels.

So Relaxing
This property is exactly as it is described. Right on the Saluda River with a waterfall even though the river level is down. Amenities listed are all available. Would be helpful to have TV instructions, instructions for the gas fireplace, also some chairs for the screened porch. Sam, the neighbor is invaluable help. And everyone needs to talk with him at least once while you're there.!! Table Rock state park, Sassafras Mountain are recommended. Would stay there again if in the area. Would also be a great place for families with kids during the summer.

Nice getaway
A group of us spent 3 nights at the riverdaze. The pictures don’t do the house justice, it was beautiful and spacious. The river was clear, fun to play in, walk down and explore. The location was great when it came to visiting parks and site seeing. Nothing was too far. I hope to return again in the future.

A very nice home that lived up to expectations and was as advertised. The home is a gem in an area that is a bit run down. Also the river was not what I had hoped, on line pictures were during high water flow winter months, summer flow made this more like a creek. Still a nice visit and enjoyed nearby State parks.

I am sorry that a low river makes you knock off 2 stars of a five star visit to a five star cabin. We can't control the river and there has been no rain in 7 weeks.

Relaxing and beautiful
First time visiting South Carolina and so glad we had this place to welcome us. There is a small town near by the is called Pumpkin Town and believe it or not it really smells like pumpkin spice. I loved the swimming and fishing hole for my three boys. They woke up swam and fished while me and my husband drank our coffee on the deck watching them. Getting back from hiking, we cooled off in the creek and then hit tub.

Found some peace
This place was perfect. Plenty of space and pretty much everything you need. The backyard was my favorite place given the firepit area, hottub, and creek to play in. Nice to fall asleep to the sound of rushing water. The beds were super comfortable which is often a hit or miss thing but really important when you have back problems :) Owners were very communicative, and I would definitely stay here again. It's close to just about most things, and my family is in Pickens so it was really convenient.

The Perfect Getaway!

Lovely cabin by the river
The cabin is lovely. There is a huge window that overlooks the creek/river. The three bedrooms are spacious, and we loved the amenities - pool table, ping pong, large TV with roku, hot tub. The area is beautiful, and if you like hiking, there are several beautiful state parks within 20 to 30 minutes or less. Table Rock State Park is right down the road. Check in/out instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I took away one star because the house is surrounded by neighbors. If you are looking for seclusion, this might not be the right property for you. But we did not have any problems with the neighbors, and my kids were happy to be surrounded by neighbors (they have seen too many horror movies about secluded cabins). I would highly recommend this property.

This cabin was great. Inside was cozy and well appointed. Kitchen was perfect for cooking. Multiple spots for hanging out with family. Loved the game areas upstairs. Outside was awesome. Great porch area, hot tub treehouse, and fire pit. The river was beautiful and great to fish in. The only downside is the neighborhood, not riverside, isn’t exactly upscale. Otherwise, location to get to state parks is awesome. Overall great place!

Perfect Family Getaway
An awesome spot right on the river to enjoy some quality family time. We spent most of our time right there despite the many amazing things surrounding us. Great area in general but we just relaxed, played in the river, fished, played cards, pool, ping pong, and told stories around the fire. An excellent spot that really feels hidden right off the road. Grocery store about 30 min away in Pickens so easy to stalk up on all the things you need to have a great time.

We had a family gathering at River Daze over Labor Day weekend! Most of the time was spent relaxing on the back porch listening to the waterfall! Our day trips included a trip to Pretty Place, a hike on Raven Cliff Falls Trail, dinner in Greenville, and an afternoon at Victoria Valley Vineyard. The evenings were spent around the fire pit with beautiful fires thanks to Sam! John’s house was beautifully maintained and clean! He was a great host.

Saluda River retreat
Very nice cabin with a great location. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Hope to go back in the future. John, the host, was very prompt and helpful. He sent links of good restaurants, etc in the area. He was very easy to work with. Sam, the local neighbor, will provide firewood at a very modest price. He is also a hoot to talk to, if you get a chance. Very nice guy. Great experience overall. Very relaxing stay.

I must say Riverdaze is in a remote area. It’s exactly what I was hoping for. The sound of the river and the cicadas all around us was perfect. My daughter preferred a home with a pool but the river more than satisfied her needs. My 5 year old niece even enjoyed the the cool feel of the river and fish that waited for her to feed them. The pictures does not compare to the actual feel and space of the home. It was very comfortable, clean and very spacious with enough space for everyone. The bedroom and private bathroom on the 1st floor was perfect for my mother in law. On the 2nd floor we’re two more bedrooms and comfortable futon bed. We also enjoyed ourselves playing ping pong, billiard , poker and watching movies. My husband enjoyed playing with the fish and grill. The jacuzzi was a perfect hot spot for us girls to relax in. Overall the river was a definite hit with girls.. Thank you John Holland for opening up your home and allowing us city slickers to enjoy it.

Great Cabin for Families
We spent 3 nights at Riverdaze in August with my parents, my wife and our 2 kids (ages 10 and 11). Everyone loved the place. It's a very well built and well designed Cabin for families of all ages. There is great hiking and beautiful scenery in the area. If you are not familiar with the area be aware it is remote. Cellphone coverage is very spotty so your phone's map apps will not work consistently. I suggest planning on using vehicle GPS or a map/atlas. On one of our days there we experienced torrential downpours and flooding in surrounding areas. Fortunately there was plenty to do back at the cabin with many games of pool and ping pong. One of the reviews mentioned the wifi speeds. While it's not the 100+ Mbps speeds in more densely populated areas for an area like this I thought it was pretty solid. We averaged around 26 Mbps which is plenty good enough for streaming Fubo, Hulu, Netflix, etc. You simply can't go wrong with Riverdaze.

Wonderful cabin!
We had a great stay. The hot tub is under a covered roof which was great as we had showers one night but were still able to enjoy it. It's an easy drive to hiking at Cesar's Head. The kitchen is well stocked. Restaurants can be a bit of a drive depending on the time of year of your stay so plan accordingly. The host, John, is great at providing all the information you need and responding to any questions you have promptly. We would stay again!

River relaxation and recreation
Riverdaze was just what we needed this summer! The house has a wonderful layout and all kitchen necessities. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the fire pit. We were able to relax and play in the river, hike, and swim. Perfect for children and adults! The location is ideal. We hiked in the Pisgah National Forest and Table Rock park, and swam on the beach at Lake Jocassee. Coldn't have asked for more!

Great cabin to get away!
Our family had a really amazing time at this cabin. There was so much to do outdoors and in the surrounding areas. Even the teenagers who can be hard to please had a great time. We really enjoyed hanging out by the river, making smores and watching the lightning bugs in the evening. Listening to the sounds of the waterfall over morning coffee. A beautiful place and refreshing trip after a stressful year!
