4/10 Poor

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Likes: The hotel was located on the waterfront, right next to entrances for the River Walk and in between multiple bus and L train stops. It was very easy to get around Chicago via CTA because of this, and good food was never far away.
Dislikes: If you've never been to Chicago before - like me - do NOT rent a car. The parking garage across from the hotel asks $60/night to keep the car; it's far more convenient to buy a Ventra pass ($25 for a week of unlimited access to CTA) at O'Hare and ride the Blue Line train downtown. The hotel itself was clean, but the service and amenities were non-existent if you weren't a Hilton Club member. There is no complementary breakfast, and everything is a charge against your deposit. For the amount of money I paid to stay here, breakfast would have been nice. They also assured me multiple times that someone would be at the front desk during the early morning so I could check out and make my flight, but not a soul was in the lobby when I went to leave on my last day. Luckily I was able to check out digitally with Hilton's app, which was the only good thing about it. Lastly, be prepared to leave 5-10 minutes early to get anywhere on-time: there are 2 elevators that service the entirety of the hotel, and both guests and staff use them. There were several times that it took me more than 5 minutes to get from my room on the 25th floor to the lobby, with other guests getting on, and then staff using the elevator to go up or down one floor.
