If you are looking for a step back in time, where service and class meet at an intricate and elegant level, stay at The Spectator! Every staff member from valet, to check in, to butler service (which is part of the experience), is top-notch! We enjoyed talking to each member of the staff, the ambiance and accommodations. Even the KEY to your room is special and unique. We will definitely be back as The Spectator has become our new favorite place to stay in Charleston!

This was one of the most outstanding properties I have ever stayed at. We went for my husband’s birthday, and he had the best time. He did not want to leave! The service was top tier; it will be hard to beat them. Chuck was an outstanding butler and really made our stay an absolute joy from the moment we stepped into the hotel. The location is very walkable to a lot of main tourist spots and there are plenty of options to eat. The lobby bar is beautiful and a nice way to unwind before heading to bed. The complimentary breakfast was delicious as well. I highly recommend choosing The Spectator for your stay. We can’t wait to go back!

This was the best hotel experience I have ever had. Beautiful hotel and the absolute nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. I was initially disappointed because I booked a room that was supposed to have a bathtub according to Expedia listing but did not have. I got over it very quick because of the excellent service and accommodations. The butlers on staff were so kind and seemed genuinely happy to assist. The bar has the best drinks and all the amenities were on point. My husband and I will definitely return!

The Spectator was wonderful, from checking in with a complimentary mocktail to the free bikes and daily breakfast. We felt so pampered and it was just what three busy Moms needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely stay in Charleston.
