Walk to the beach from this family & dog friendly ground level duplex home, which is handicap accessible (but not ADA compliant) with no steps or stairs. Take advantage of the six miles of wide beaches, fishing, kayaking, boating and eco-tours on Isle of Palms by day and enjoy the fabulous foodie & cultural delights of downtown Charleston or nearby Mt. Pleasant or Sullivans Island at night. Historic Charleston is a 20 minute drive from the home and the beach is a 2 minute walk from the house. The Isle of Palms Recreation Center is 1.5 blocks from the house.

Upon entering the home you will find a family room & dining room area, a fully stocked kitchen, two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms on the same floor. Guests are also welcome to utilize the covered patio with outdoor dining table & seating area, the washer (cold water cycle only) & dryer in the detached shed and the gas BBQ grill (which is also shared with the upstairs unit). Off-street parking on the Cameron Avenue driveway for up to 2 cars is included in the rental rate.

Enjoy all the beach and ocean have to offer -- charter a fishing boat, go body surfing, try wave sailing or maybe take in a sunrise stroll on the beach with your morning coffee. Go down the road to the Isle of Palms Rec Center and enjoy tennis, indoor/outdoor basketball, an AWESOME playground, picnic shelter, walking trail, a soccer field and baseball/softball field & batting cages or checkout a yoga class! When the day is done, know you have an air conditioned duplex with its inviting beds to help you recharge the batteries for another day of fun.

Please note that the upstairs unit is also available for rent. If both units are available for your selected dates, then you may rent both the upper and lower levels and sleep up to 16 people in the whole house. Upstairs guests share the backyard, outdoor shower and beach gear in the detached shed with the downstairs guests. Crossover noise between the units is to be expected.

Just what we needed, nothing more nothing less.
The place was just what we needed for 6 adults and a toddler. It was a short walk to the beach and to the playground, the right amount of seats to be comfortable in for dinner or relaxing. A plus that we loved was the table and chairs for a toddler and play kitchen, my little one loved it. The only downsides were that the nightstands in the king size bedroom were taller than the bed and pressed right aside it. We slept with our toddler at night and had to cover the edges with pillows so he wouldn't hurt himself. One night the pillow slipped and he got a small bruise. The other downside is that you can hear every step from the upstairs unit. Other than that, it was great and the owners communication was consistent.

A cozy family space
This rental was really amazing! Unlisted perks included a wagon full of boogie boards, sand toys, and a beach umbrella and a nice stack of beach towels to borrow. The kitchens was really well equipped, we enjoyed all our meals together at the rental. A really fun grilling/ outside hang out area for the family and a sweet little indoor play kitchen for the kiddos. The beach is SUCH a short walk and the condo was so clean and welcoming. Ideal for a multi-generational vacation. We will be back soon!

Good location, short walk to beach, was on bottom floor and it was noisy on top floor. Couldn't get the TV to work. Water faucet in hallway bathroom had a constant drip. Beds were comfortable; We felt at home.

The open space was great--we used it a lot! Even when it was hot outside, there was shade and often a light breeze to keep it comfortable. Beds were comfy and kitchen was adequate. It's a very quick walk to the beach and a really short drive to grocery & liquor store. The small yard was wonderful for the dog (not fenced.)

Spring getaway
My wife and I met our daughter and her beau for a mini vacation. The place was just as described, the walk to the beach was very easy .I took my morning walk and discovered a little park a couple blocks away, this is a nice neighborhood. Would definitely be back in the future. Thank you!!

Beyond expectations
We chose to take our four children ages nine, six, four and two down to Charleston to engage in the historic forts and landscape. We chose to stay in Isle of Palms because of past experience and knowing that the community was very family friendly. Our stay on the property was excellent. The place was clean and inviting as well as close to a large beautiful park. Our kids took full advantage of the large playground and pickleball courts only a short walk inland from the home. Just as close the other direction is wear the surf meets the sand. Our kids could not resist getting as dirty and wet as possible (even though its February.) There where beach toys and chairs available as well and sand carts to help assist in moving the half ton of essentials for a day on the beach. Only a 12 min drive down to Sullivans Island my oldest son and I visited fortMoultrie and learned a great deal about our nations coastal defenses from the past centuries. The fort is a National park and we where aloud to explore it on our own discoving new information around each bend. The area has more than enough local fair to keep you from going to the same place twice, but we definitely took advantage of the fully functional kitchen with all of the appliances and amenities we are accustomed to at home. Our kids enjoyed "movie nights" in the large living room on the pull our couch and took full advantage of the many board games available. We truly had a great time on our visit.
