First and foremost we welcome this review and say thank you for it. Wolf Lake Lodge will now respond to all questions regarding your stay at the cabin. As you can see from our reviews below yours we communicate at all times with our guests promptly. We only want each and everyone who stays at our cabin to have the best memories that will last a lifetime. Now let’s address your concerns in regards to your money you think you would have lost prior to your stay within our 30 to 60 day policy, at NO time would you have lost your money, you just assumed you would, Wolf Lake Lodge does not conduct ourselves in that manner for that would be unjustified. The thermostat that are in Wolf Lake Lodge are set at 70 degrees during the coldest months with that stated when the management team walked in and you had clearly put the thermostat set at a permanent low temperature instead of temporary hold that you elected change not Wolf Lake Lodge. It shows you had no understanding on how to operate basic home thermostats. Now as for that fact of no hot water , your own video that you sent us the owners clearly shows the temperature read out on the hot water tank at 130 degrees. As stated to you on a live call we have an instant on hot water tank. Not withstanding we are going against ice cold well water which in turn will take up to 3 minutes for maximum temperature. In has far as stating that YOU assumed there was a gas leak not Wolf Lake Lodge we took your word and called an HVAC team immediately to access any leakage or issues with the cabin. At this point if felt you or your guests were in DANGER at all 1. Why did you not call 911 as clearly stated on the Welcome Package 2. Why did not evacuate the property immediately 3. We indicated to you that there is a panic button in the laundry room as we stated to you that is in direct contact to the MSP , the Ishpeming county sheriffs office and fire department in Champion MI. Based on the national weather service in Marquette County was recorded at 41 degrees on the day in question. Therefore you improperly locked yourself out of a warmer home reading. The thermostats that we have in the home once your departure , one read 73 degrees the other one read 66 degrees. In regards to the electronics on the gas stove top, our HVAC team did discover the gas too worked for your cooking pleasure. As for the erroneous damage charge on the hot tub. When our management team discovered the spa/ hot tub with the water chemically destroyed by you the guest, a chemical analysis of the spa water was tested by a trained professional to state that high levels of shampoo were in the water along with pictures to support our findings. Your accusation of predatory host and disallowing same sex unions at Wolf Lake Lodge will now result in a liable defamation lawsuit against you , Ms. Vonnahme. I think you should be aware of this statement as you left the property and stayed the entire time. That is so foreign to us after all your accusations, don’t you think? As you left our property grounds do you remember this statement …. “ you got this Brianna, you got them, good bye beautiful property and once again, good bye beautiful property” In closing Wolf Lake Lodge has always opened our cabin to all genders and cultures unconditionally. Hello Kendra Thank you for your reveiw. In addressing your mutitude of issues and out right false mistruths. The contract of Wolfg Lake Lodge that you read, acknowledged and signed is mandated by our underwriters that no one cluding the owners are to smoke on the front porch at all do to the nature of our logs being flammable. If anyone breaks the contract my insurance is voided. The fact is the porch in question had less then 1/2 inch of snow at the time of your stay as we have our maintenance team maintaining the snow removal on our entire property including the large access path to the fire pit (which you can smoke) We did not have 5 feet as you clearly stated and the can be proven by our exterior video camera monitored this fact. You have stated Wolf Lake Lodge has interior cameras this is not only illegal but something we would never participate in. My monitering team brought this to our attention because of you breaking the contract and chose to smoke on the front porch. The video camera on the propertyy at the front enterance gate as i verbally stated to you live is for the protection of all of our guests and that of the proprty. Prior to entering the security gate there are two fluorescent signs (16x20) stating your are under video surveillance, do not trespass "private property" Ironically when I spoke to your husband, he stated "your place is amazing, we love it" In regards to losing all of your money had you been so dissatified upon your stay, you had every opportunity to hit cancel, we would gladly prorated your stay and refunded the difference, as we would with any quest. Hello Larry, Tim and I would like to thank you for your review of our cabin. We are so happy that you and your family enjoyed yourself. Also I just wanted to let you know that on page 1 of our Welcome Package does talk about small children that are not trained going in the pool. We have this in place because of the Michigan laws we need to follow. We really hope your beautiful child got a chance to swim in the soaker tub. Tim and I would like to thank you for your review. We would also like clear up a few details that we did already speak to you about verbally on the phone in regards to our contract, cameras and our door codes. Our contract speaks for itself. We have rules to protect you and guest and to protect those items we have worked hard to achieve down life’s path. Tim spoke to you about your concerns and you appeared to be satisfied with his responses. As far as our cameras are concerned they are turned off during occupancy and at no times can the cameras see inside the home structure. The only cameras operational are the gate cameras, again for your protection. We do run all cameras when the home is vacant do to past individuals helping themselves to our outdoor kitchen and fire pit. I am sure you can understand that. As for the codes for the home, Tim explained to you that we had guests in the cabin the same day you were arriving, so we allow current guests to have complete privacy as they departure the property. We then change the door codes and then send them to you. As for the 7 mile drive from the highway to the cabin, it is a private road maintained by an owner on our road. At times with Mother Nature small pit holes do occur but are fixed as quickly as possible. Thank you again, Wolf Lake Lodge
