The morning of my reservation, I received a call stating that my reservation could not be honored. The representative who called me was very kind and polite but I had to make other arrangements for family who came in from out of town for my birthday. Hotel is tore apart. Booked my room well over 30 days in advance, just to be told the hotel overbooked and our family got split up. No ice machine or any options for breakfast. At least the bed was comfortable.

The Candlewood Suites is a newly remodeled hotel. Everything was very new and clean in our room. The only thing I noticed was that the screen was ripped outside our window, but it didn't affect me as we always keep the windows closed. They had a little more painting that was being done in the hotel lobby and carpets replaced in the hallways and it looked like it was the end of the remodeling. I love that all the rooms have a kitchenette with a full-size refrigeration, sink, 2 electric hotplates, microwave, dishwasher, and a full set of dishes to use. The room could have used a table but maybe they haven't finished furnishing the rooms and am not sure. I would give them 5-starts without a doubt.
