We followed up with the homeowner who wanted to share this feedback: I sincerely apologize for the issue with the septic drain. This was an unforeseeable issue as tree roots grew into the septic drain pipe and created a blockage. I called a service company to come out to fix the problem as soon as I was notified, and within 12 hours the issue was fixed and the affected area was sanitized and thoroughly cleaned. I regret that this situation caused you to seek other accommodations but hope the refund provided helped make up for some of the inconvenience you felt. I also made sure that the listing states there is another rental unit on the property, though I'm sorry if this caught you off guard.

The owner has very high standards for their property and will address your concerns regarding the blankets with the cleaning company to ensure that they are thoroughly cleaned before each stay. The shower head was recently changed and it lets through more water, which may have caused the hot water to run out quickly. They plan to have a plumber come out to fix this issue to ensure it will not affect future guests. They also plan to install a water treatment system in the future to eliminate the iron in the water, which must have caused the brown stain in the sink.
