Quaint and peaceful
Thank you for a lovely, clean, quaint cottage on the lake. The sunroom was my favorite spot. I enjoyed watching all the ducks fly and swim by. It is a beautiful lake and wonderful place to stay. Ruth is very thoughtful.

Amazing!
We had a great time at this cottage! The proximity to the lake is exceptional. The towels and bedding were of great quality. The house was clean and all essential supplies were there in abundance. The cottage was super close to Mackinaw City and we went into town every day. The communication was superb the best I have ever experienced. She kept us updated on ice conditions and great places we could visit if we weren't able to get out on the ice. We were able to ice fish but also visited the recommended sites and had a great time exploring in and around Mackinaw. We are hoping to come again in the Summer!

Wonderful getaway
This cottage is homey and relaxing. It was quiet which was great after all the holiday hubbub. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The property owner responded to all my messages promptly. The lake is absolutely beautiful. We are talking about going during the summer months so my husband can fish. Thank you so much!

Cozy Cottage
We were delighted at the size of the cottage and with the location- just steps to the lake. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The internet was reliable. We would recommend this cottage to anyone interested in exploring this region of Michigan; it’s convenient to Mackinaw City and eastern part of UP.

Cozy Cottage by the Lake
We loved the small cozy cottage by the lake. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, the view was beautiful, the cottage was clean and close to Mackinaw City and the ferry to the Island. There was so much to do and we had an amazing time!

Cute and Cozy Up North Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our time away at this lovely little cottage on Paradise Lake/Carp Lake. Very clean and very comfortable (I even contacted the owner to find out where she bought her pillows--loved them!) Would totally stay here again when we plan our next Up North vacation! P.S. The neighbors (Julie, Fred, and their dog Tripp) are awesome! 😊

Cozy cabin
Very comfortable beds and pillows. This cabin met all our needs and is well-located to get up to Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Island, the U.P., over to Legg's, Petosky, Spring Harbor, etc. Renting a boat from Chubbs Marina was convenient and easy. I was even able to get my fishing license there when I couldn't fit it in before vaca.

A beautiful week in paradise!
We had a lovely stay at Ruth’s lakefront cottage. We received a complimentary bottle of wine, the view was beautiful, the cottage was clean, and the neighbors were friendly. We were only 10 minutes from Mackinaw city. There was so much to do and we had an amazing time!

Wonderful little space
This cottage is just wonderful, sure it may seem small but it’s so cozy and well laid out. Meets all your needs and then some! Beautiful views right off the back porch and it’s so clean and up-kept so well. The property owner was wonderful to work with and so responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re up this way and need a comfortable place to be. Thank you! We will visit again!

Wonderful winter weekend getaway
We had hoped to see the Northern Lights at Headlands, but maybe didn't do enough research. We are from Virginia and I went with the mindset that even if we couldn't see the lights, it would still be interesting and different -which it was! The house is the perfect size for a couple or small family. Clearly this is a summer destination but winter was fun too. There was an ice fishing tournament right out the front door! Ruth was a fantastic hostess - extremely prompt with her communication and very accommodating. I highly recommend this wonderful, cozy cabin. Thank you Ruth!

Excellent cottage to stay in
Lots of fun things to do in the area,shopping and excursions. The cottage was clean and well equipped. The cottage sits about 15' from the water which gave us an opportunity to enjoy the wild life.

The cozy cabin is exactly as pictured! Very clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake was beautiful and peaceful. Love the recliners and spent most of our time on the screened in porch. Ruth was the perfect host. Will for sure return here! Sandy and Sally BFF's for almost 30 years

Nice Time
We had a great week at the cottage. Everything was clean; pictures online are accurate. Lake and area very quiet. We found lots to do in the surrounding area...Petoskey shopping, Mackinac City and Island. Fun time at the Garlyn Zoo and Deer Ranch...even the teens had fun. Also had a nice day and picnic at the beach/sand dunes near St. Ignace.

The Cottage
Very pleased with the rental, cleanliness, having Roku Tv was great, nice boat dock worked well for our bass boat plan to return next year....but I will bring a big coffee cup. Corelle is nice but I need a mug of coffee😀

A Vacation to Remember: The Perfect Place to Celebrate Our 25th Anniversary
We rented this lovely lake house cottage for an early 25th anniversary celebration. Carp Lake/Paradise Lake is lovely. We brought our kayaks and had a blast. This house has a very nice dock and everything one would ever need. The house was super clean, bed comfy and great water pressure. We did work a bit while we were there. Great WiFi and the amount of outlets was a huge plus. Ruth is an amazing host and was always available should we need her (we didn't). We spent most of our time sitting on the patio/dock with our fire bowl that we brought from home. We met the neighbors and they were very nice. This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We couldn't have asked for better weather for our stay September 10-17. You'll get amazing sunrise and sunset pictures over the lake. We did the tourist thing too and enjoyed our time on Mackinac Island, in Mackinaw City and just driving around. We loved the history trolley tour over the bridge and of course all the fudge. Had a great time and would definitely return. It was perfect.

Great family getaway!
Such a cute + cozy place! We loved waking up and having coffee by the water plus how close we were to lots of things to do - Tunnel of Trees, Pond Hill Farm, Harbor Springs and Petoskey. We'd definitely recommend it to others!

Great Location
We enjoyed an outstanding stay at Ruth's cottage and as a host she is amazing. The location on an inland lake just outside Mackinaw City was perfect given the variety of activities available in this part of the State. We'll be back!

Great host!
Ruth was a wonderful and kind host to our stay at her cozy cottage. Very quick at responding to anything we needed. The house was very clean and beds were very comfortable! Huge perk was air conditioning since some days were quite hot. Great view of the lake outside the windows! And we enjoyed having a couple restaurants to frequent that were right down the street.

Perfect cozy cabin
Our family loved this cabin! It was clean and came equipped with all we needed for the kitchen, bedding, towels, etc... our kids loved the bunk bed and the mattresses were the perfect combo of firm yet cozy. Being right there to see the lake each day made our get away all the more memorable. I recommend this cabin if you want to make memories to last a lifetime 💕

We were impressed with the cottage. As an older person, comfort is important. The sleeping accommodations were excellent as well as the kitchen supplies. Though a softer futon and a shower caddy would have made this perfect.

Charming!
This charming cottage is perfectly situated for day trips all around Michigan. It’s just a few miles from the Mackinac Bridge and close to the Tunnel of Trees. Carp Lake was beautiful this time of year. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed coffee in the sunroom in the morning and reading books out on the pier in the afternoons. We would definitely consider returning to this cottage on future trips to Michigan.

This cottage is in a perfect location for multiple day trips including Mackinac Island, Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Wilderness State Park to name a few. Quiet neighborhood that offered a nice evening on the patio next to the lake to relax and refresh.

Cozy cottage on a peaceful lake!
We had a great time! We were sad to see our vacation come to an end! Anyone would enjoy their time spent at this updated cozy cottage! We sure did! Carp Lake vaca
The cabin is great. It is fully stocked with everything you need. Very clean. We loved sitting on the patio in the morning with our coffee. Great view of the lake. The neighbors were very nice. We Liked having our boat right there so we could jump in & fish when we wanted. We would like to try it in the winter for some ice fishing.

Fabulous cottage in Carp Lake
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It had everything that we needed. It was right on the lake so very easy for us to put our kayaks in the water. It was very close to Lake Michigan and wonderful hiking trails in Wilderness State Park. Also was very close to Mackinaw City which we had fun exploring. The owner was very friendly and very helpful and answered all our questions. She was very nice to work with. This property is a must stay at place and we hope to stay at it again soon.
