"I booked this stay for my wedding. Larry and Rose were exceptional hosts. My family that stayed in the house, loved the location, house set-up, and access to the beach. The space allowed us to use the large garage for reception food set-up, the large backyard was perfect for a 20x20 tent, and guests had access to enough bathrooms. Communication with the hosts were top notch and they were flexible, allowing me plenty of time to set-up and breakdown while working with my vendors. Overall, we had a perfect wedding weekend and our family is still raving about the ceremony and house. We came prepared and had bug and ant spray, which did come in handy since this was an outside reception and there were ants in some areas."

"This cottage was so charming and cozy! It was a great jumping off point to see the area from Holden Beach, locally, to Oak Island to climb the lighthouse and to Southport to walk the quaint town. The cottage is so wonderfully decorated and made us feel so welcome. The fenced-in yard was perfect for my furbaby and we enjoyed sitting out back in the evenings. "This little cottage house was perfect for our weekend fishing trip. The owner (Amy) stayed in contact with us until we left and was always available if we needed her. The cottage just felt like a home away from home as soon as we walked in. The couches, the beds, the shower water pressure...everything was great! Quite, peaceful little neighborhood. Fishing access literally right down the street. Gas station right around the corner. It's a little bit of a drive to get to a grocery store and restaurants but that was not an issue for us. Just wanted others who may see this are aware but I can tell you...next trip, I will be contacting Amy again! We absolutely enjoyed our stay! We fished most of the time we were there but having a place to shower, eat dinner and sleep was what we were looking for and this place met all of our needs and wants! If you are just looking for a place to stay so you can go enjoy the sand and surf or to go get on the water and fish....this place is it!! Also, at the boat dock, there's a strip where you can fish off the bank, a pier...everyone is so nice. Again, this place just feels like a home away from home!!"
