“Off grid getaway tucked deep in the redwoods— arrival itself is an adventure. The apartment is a quiet, peaceful nook with an eclectic touch. The grounds are highly explorable and our pup had a wonderful time. Wondering around and waking up next to the rushing Eel River was a beautiful experience. Great place to stay if your goal is to disconnect for a while. 10/10 will return. ”

“Older court style separated rooms but very well maintained. Gas, grocery and dining just across the street. The landscaping was very pretty and we used the gazebo just outside the room to relax with a glass of wine after a busy travel day. ”

“This house was PERFECT for or family trip to the Redwoods. The house has beautiful view and perfect location. We were welcomed with a very nice bottle of wine and hand written note. The house sits on the 9 hole golf course run by adjacent KOA. We enjoyed golf and other KOA amenities. We walked to Benbow Inn for a very nice dinner. Our weather was rainy, it was nice to have this warm oasis to come home to each night. We did not use pool or hot tub due to weather.”

“Our family had a memorable weekend enjoying the beautiful redwoods and all the peace and quiet of the area. The property is right next to a stream and there are lots of beautiful trees and flowers all around. The house is clean and spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds are very comfortable and the three bedrooms are private and quiet. I really liked the quiet heating system and beautiful windows and skylights...even on chilly, rainy days the house is cozy and……

“Sleeps 3-5 easily if you share the main beds. Pellet stove very easy to operate and can heat the entire place. Plenty of pillows for the beds and lots of throw pillows too. Quiet location, diner around the corner. Coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove and microwave. Powerful shower if you like that sort of thing. Nice backyard courtyard to hang out in if the weather is nice. Washer and dryer are a nice plus as well. I’d definitely stay here again.”

“We stayed for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon and the location was perfect. We were close enough to hike and explore then come back for a good nights sleep. Hosts were amazing and responsive! Wonderful experience.”

“Small, cozy cabin, right in the middle of the avenue of the giants! It is located just off hwy101(far enough the traffic noise is not an issue). Just minutes to get onto the avenue. Cabin has everything you need for a short&quick stay. Would Def stay here again. Neighbors but quite spot. The few issues i had were addressed right away!!!!!”

“As advertised this is a very comfortable tent in the remote hills of Humboldt county. There is no power in the tent which is both charming and challenging. The whole farm is off grid, from an environmental standpoint it’s a really interesting place. The hike to the latrine was challenging for two oldish Americans, but if you want to be away from everything this is a great spot. The tent was super comfortable and the staff were quick to help.”

“The house was very cute and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The back yard is spacious and feels very private with the redwoods lining the back of the property. Easy access to the freeway was a plus. I would definitely recommend! Although we did not bring our dogs on this trip, it is a pet friendly place. Thanks for sharing your home with us!”

“Great historic lodge feel, fascinating old lumber company town. Really nice people at the front desk (10/10), really some of the best in my extensive travels. The room was attractive and perfectly clean, had lots of character with all the modern conveniences. Only one fairly serious complaint, which is no restaurant. Not even food at the bar there. Had to go to the neighboring town for a take out sandwich for dinner. That needs to change.”
