Decent basic accomodation. Found it difficult to get the room cool enough at night. A lift would have been good to assist getting luggage up and down stairs

Reception was nice, but very badly situated. Very limited free parking spaces. Rooms are very dated. Room was only accessible via stairs. Tea & coffee making facilities - spoons were dirty. Lack of toilet roll in room. Stairwell hand rail was sticky and dirty. Breakfast was lovely. But again cutlery was dirty, tea stains on teaspoon. Used packets of sugar left on the table. Bar staff were good. Not enough staff in breakfast restaurant.

Honestly for the price this room was brilliant, noise from the bar wasn’t bad - the walls are quite thin though so you can hear people in the corridor loudly. Only thing I’d say which needs sorting is the stench coming from the plumbing. We had to keep the bathroom door shut the entire time because it stank so bad. Also we stayed on the top floor and it was absolutely boiling with the window open, unsure why as it’s only 16 degrees outside but that did disrupt my sleep. Apart from that, everything was brilliant, the coffee and tea was provided in your room, beds comfy and a great deal for the price per night.

A bit too posh for us and was a surprise when we arrived, but exceptional price compared to other hotels for the event we were attending. Couldn't fault it.

Staff were great, friendly and professional. Breakfast was good. Hotel badly needs a refurb in some areas - old plumbing, cracked sink, carpet worn Bed very comfortable
