Lake house at Prineville Reservoir

Delightful and Cozy cabin overlooking the Lake!

Come enjoy this comfortable updated 3 bd, 2ba lake house, just minutes from putting your boat in the water!

This air conditioned home is 2 stories with entrances on both the upper and lower floor. Upstairs has one bedroom with a King size bed, and a full bathroom with shower/tub and dual sinks. The family room is also upstairs, and has 2 sofas and a 50" TV with a Roku TV box and a DVD/Blue-ray player. Note that we now have high speed Wifi, with streaming services for TV available (Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc).

From the family room, walk right out onto the deck overlooking the lake. On the deck there are 2 large glass tables with umbrellas and 4 chairs at each table, as well as a large outdoor sofa and a BBQ.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, accessories, and everything you need to cook with. There is a coffee machine and a toaster, as well as a dishwasher for easy cleanup.

There are 2 bedrooms downstairs. One room has a queen size bed. The other room has bunk beds, the upper bunk is a twin and the lower bed is a full. Each room has a closet and dressers. There is also a bathroom with shower downstairs, as well as a washer and dryer unit.

The area is great for boating, water skiing, wake boarding, jet skiing, swimming, fishing. hiking, mountain biking, UTV trails, dirt bike riding, etc. There is a boat ramp less than a 1 mile away (about a 2 minute drive), or you can take a 2-minute walk to the day-use beach across the street.

There is plenty of parking including lots of room for boat or RV parking.

Enjoy barbecuing dinner on the back deck and enjoy the beautiful sunsets overlooking the lake!

The house was decent. Dishes in the cupboards was dirty with caked on food. We had to wash pots and pans just to use them. It was advertised as a lake house. The issue was that the low water level in prineville reservoir resulted in a 10 minute drive to any water, instead of a 5 minute walk down to the water. Internet was virtually non-existent which was an issue for my family. We couldn't log into any streaming services and ended up buying a video at a store which we left at the house for the next renters to use... Overall, the location is very nice and quiet, but the experience wasn't what we had hoped for.

When we first arrived we noticed the door was loose fitting and the wood around the door jamb was cracked. The code to enter the house quit working on the second day of our stay and we were locked out. After numerous attempts I was unable to contact the property manager. After an hour outside in 95 degree heat, trying to devise a plan and knowing that my husband's insulin was in the house, we discovered that you could use a credit card to unlock the door. This left us knowing that anyone could easily break into the house. It wasn't until 4 hours later that I was contacted by the property manager, via email, not a phone call as I requested, and given a new code to enter the house. Other problems with the house besides the door were: It was 85 degrees in the house when we arrived, No hair dryers in either bathroom, the sheets in the master bedroom didn't fit the bed so they kept coming off, had to remake the bed every day, only 3 chairs around the counter but there were 4 of us staying there, (the house sleeps 7). There is no kitchen table. The umbrella for the outdoor table doesn't tilt to block the sun and it was too hot to eat outside. The water tasted terrible in the house, hence the coffee tasted terrible. I don't usually drink bottled water but if I had known, I would have brought my own drinking water. The BBQ was a mess and only 2 burners worked. I left the house in perfect condition, I folded all the towels in the dryer, ran TWO loads of sheets and towels and cleaned the counters and the refrigerator, took out the garbage etc. Without a local contact and the remote location of this house I would not trust this rental as being a safe option.

Such a great quick little family get away. It was perfect for adults and kids. Downstairs was a great area for the kids to be why the adults were upstairs. The view of the reservoir was amazing! I do love having no cell service but with the wifi not working very well I didn't like not being about call for emergencies if needed, but overall great place and would rent again

The Owner claims there is internet for guest to use. It is buried in the rental terms. Very limited internet service. I could not even load email. Very limited cell service, I could not text. Plan on NO Internet SERVICE!

COULDNT GET UP THE RAMP IN WHEELCHAIR, UMBRLLAS WERE BROKEN AND DISHES AND PANS WERE DIRTY, BBQ WAS DIRTY, DEAD FLIES ALL OVER , LOOKED LIKE NO ONE HAS CLEANED AND THEN WANTED US TO STRIP THE SHEETS AND TOWELS SO EASIER ON CLEANING CREW, BUT CHARGED US 125.00 FOR CLEANING FEE, AND SERVICE FEE OF 79.00..WILL BE FOLLOWING UP WITH OWERS ABOUT HAZZARDS AND CLEANLINESS.....

Family Time in Prineville
Property owners have a great "gem" in Central Oregon! The house was very nice, clean, and well organized. Everything that you may need was there, right where it was suppose to be. We were very comfortable, and loved coming home to a cool place after a hot day on the lake. We were also close to shopping in Sisters and in Bend, and golf in Redmond. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Wonderful house with beautiful views of the lake. Plenty of parking for boat/trailer. Kitchen had all essentials and bbq/tools were clean and in good condition. AC felt amazing after hot July days on the lake. Hope to visit again next year!

Find something better.
The property was just okay. Check in was terrible as the code provided did not work and we had to track down the owner for help. Keep in mind there is no cell service and you’re not allowed to use the wifi at the property. Bring DVDs as there is also no form of cable or movies. Terrible communication with the owner. I’m certain I could have found something closer to the water and much nicer for the money if I looked earlier. Over-all do not recommend.

We enjoyed the view of the reservoir and being walking distance to the day beach. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck having coffee in the morning and playing cards in the evening until dark. Very cozy!

Great stay super close to the reservoir!
Bryan was super communicative and very accommodating! We brought our boat and it was such a short ride to the dock. Parking for the boat was great as well as our cars. Deck had a great view to just sit out or have a little BBQ. The only thing I had wished I had known prior was the WIFI. WIFI is available if you have Verizon for their hotspot, other than that, there was no access to WIFI for personal use. However, that didn't bother us much since we didn't have much need for internet. Other than that, great stay!
