“I appreciated both the "modern and hip" vibe of this property, as well as the staff! Was in town working, so the I had to use the Wi-Fi, too. It's free and very fast! Cleanliness is top-notch and the rooms are quite spacious, and the decor is very nice and "hip!" Highly recommend!”

“Located in the heart of Charleston, the Mills House Hotel is a luxury hotel with all the ammeniteis. The courtyard has a beautiful fountain and large fireplace and we loved having drinks out here. It is also the outdoor dining section of one of the hotel restuarnts, Iron Rose, which we ate at several times and it was excellent. The pool area is lovely though a little small for the size tof the hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the woman who took care of our room was a gem. They……

“The location of this hotel can't be beat. The pool and the dock on the river are amazing! The rooms are OK, a little dated but served the purpose. The only complaint we would have is that they ran out of breakfast very early every day. Other guests pitched a fit; we just went exploring and found some amazing local breakfast places nearby that made it worth not having breakfast at the hotel. They should stop offering breakfast and encourage guests to visit some of the local haunts because they……

“We really enjoyed our stay at The Iris. We stayed in a superior suite which was bright and light and with all that we needed for four nights. It turned out we were in a great area with lots of delicious dining options and a short walk from King Street which is the Main Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere. “I thought the hotel was great. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good. I will say the same thing about every hotel though, bigger trash cans lol. Yes we knew they we remodeling and yes we know everywhere is not going to be perfect. But some reviews I have read seem completely unnecessary. I would definitely stay there again. ”

Great restaurants (looking at you, Acme) are within walking distance. I think we were most impressed with the availability of management to answer any question we had. Their responses were swift and so helpful. Overall, this was a wonderful property in which to stay and enjoy a beach vacation!”

“Great location! Feels like it's just 15 minutes or less from everything - downtown, Shem Creek, Sullivan's. The house is exactly as pictured. Only slight issue were the beds. The twin mattresses weren't super comfortable and the full-size bed dips in the middle. This seems more like a bedframe issue. Otherwise, it was fantastic. Highly recommend this place!”
