"Our group of 5 (2 adult couples and one 14-year old) stayed 3 nights, and this is our new favorite place in the Lake Martinez vicinity. The house has been completely transformed from when we saw it about 15 years ago. The back deck area is lovely and well-furnished, everything worked well, the furnishings, decorations and amenities were excellent (very comfy bed in the master bedroom!) and we very much enjoyed our stay. "We had a great stay at Desert House I. Tiffany was very accommodating with an earlier check in to get our food in the fridge and get out on the water our day of arrival. The 3 bedroom looked just as the pictures and there was a roll out bed that came in handy. AC works great. Awesome having a private dock for your boat so you don’t have to drop in and out every day."

"I reserved this cottage for a fishing tournament. I and my tournament partner both had last-minute crises that kept us from using our reservation. His was personal and mine was medical. So my ratings for the cottage are based on photos and communication with the manager. It is the latter that made me write this review. Courtney’s communication was excellent and she was so gracious about our fiasco. I will try again for my next tournament at Fishers Landing, on Martinez Lake."
