We wanted to do so again, but they don't cook on Bank Holidays. We weren't told this in advance, which is the only slight negative about our stay. . "

"We booked the Paddocks which had a self contained very well equipped kitchen in an enclosed courtyard It provided a very comfortable overnight stay. We couldnt fault it. We arrived early as we had booked Sunday lunch at the George which was excellant and Wayne allowed us to leave our car there. Wayne was very friendly and not intrusive at all. "Really enjoyed the amazing warm breakfast included with the room. The restaurant is a must, to have some amazing food in the evening. The hotel was quiet, and the bed comfy. The location of the property is in easy walking distance from the train station, a car rental store and also the amazing Oxford city centre. "

"Late arrival was no problem and we were able to store our luggage after check out to finish touring the town. Staff made sure someone helped us up the stairs with our luggage and were willing to provide all we needed. The only thing that was tricky was half our bed was lopsided, so my husband felt he was falling out of his side."

"Stay was lovely, just some odd elements which were a bit strange! Make sure you arrive in good time to check in early, and double-check what the morning process is for leaving - main pub remained locked and egress was through the rear fire escape - noone in sight so left key in room. The room was lovely - really well laid out, roomy, and clearly well-thought out; lots of little things that made the place really nice. Weak spot was the bathroom - doesn't have a proper door. Shower was also dirty...
