"Due to a family emergency we had to push our trip back a week and they were very understanding and accommodating. The lighthouse was cool and we had a lovely view from our room, extremely nice staff--kind and very helpful. Fagers Island restaurant was wonderful also. "

"When I made the reservation, I was told that we were able to have 2 adjoining rooms. I even called the day prior to checking in to make sure we were still able to have 2 adjoining rooms. When we arrived, our rooms were on the 4th floor, and the 7th floor. Not even close to each other. No suggestions were even made as to how we could have gotten 2 adjoining rooms after bringing it to their attention. I was a bit disappointed. Also, the outdoor pools were not open, nor were any of the chairs...

"Nice clean and beautiful hotel"

"I stayed there for vacation with my two young children and I had to upgrade my room to a bigger room with a small kitchen. Although it was a little more expensive it was worth it because you have a full refrigerator and a place to eat. We really enjoyed the hospitality of the property manager. We also really enjoyed saying there it was in walking distance to everything."

"I should start by putting things in context: I'm rating this hotel 4 out of 5 compared to other hotels of its age and type (an older American beach town hotel). I'm not ranking it compared to the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong or the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore or so on. Parking was free, the location is excellent, the hotel was in decent condition and was clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. "Great place, about a 10 min drive to the boardwalk but many other things nearby like a diner, several restaurants. Easy check in process, can’t wait to stay again. "

"Overall great place to stay. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, reasonable parking cost, good restaurant. The area that was lacking is the pool. Overhead piping had chipped, pealing paint- afraid chips would fall on us. The “hot tub” wasn’t working so was called “conversation tub”, same temp as the pool, which was lukewarm & smelled off. Definitely needs an upgrade."

"Cons: We had a partial ocean view However, it was blocked by pine trees, so you couldn't even see it. There were plenty of rooms that had an Ocean view available, but we were not offered that option. Even when though I asked about it. There was only one chair on the balcony, so both of us couldn't sit out there at the same time. Even if we had two chairs, the balcony was extremely small so we would've barely fit anyhow. Pros: clean and comfortable. Super close to the beach and stores. Check-in...

"The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and the ocean view was beautiful you can walk out to the boardwalk. I like that the hotel had a few restaurants, game rooms, bar and a pool. I will definately stay at this hotel again. "
