"When I made the reservation, I was told that we were able to have 2 adjoining rooms. I even called the day prior to checking in to make sure we were still able to have 2 adjoining rooms. When we arrived, our rooms were on the 4th floor, and the 7th floor. Not even close to each other. No suggestions were even made as to how we could have gotten 2 adjoining rooms after bringing it to their attention. I was a bit disappointed. Also, the outdoor pools were not open, nor were any of the chairs...

"I should start by putting things in context: I'm rating this hotel 4 out of 5 compared to other hotels of its age and type (an older American beach town hotel). I'm not ranking it compared to the Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong or the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore or so on. "Cons: We had a partial ocean view However, it was blocked by pine trees, so you couldn't even see it. There were plenty of rooms that had an Ocean view available, but we were not offered that option. Even when though I asked about it. There was only one chair on the balcony, so both of us couldn't sit out there at the same time. Even if we had two chairs, the balcony was extremely small so we would've barely fit anyhow. "My stay was okay this time. I’m very disappointed by how the hot tub and sauna were removed and replaced with a kids arcade. They should have kept the arcade inside and left the adult entertainment. That was one of the reasons I chose to stay there; however, it is no longer. In the future, I’ll probably stay somewhere else."
