"Can't get any closer to Termini Station, it's right in front and that was the reason for our choice. Hotel , like most, is old and the room is decent with bare necesites. If you're looking for luxury, it may not be for you. Overall our stay was comfortable and the entire day/night staff was excellent including the restaurant workers. Very welcoming and helpful, because of this I would return. The only personal issue for me was the height of the bathtub. It was about knee high & slippery,...

"Matresses were really good. The room has a safe. Across the hotel there is a convenience store great if you want a glass of wine and some snacks in the room after a long day of sightseeing. The pillows are prety bad. Flat and uncomfortable. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops around. "

"Overall is good to stay at Hotel California. Easy access to the city center and all landmarks. Breakfast is okay but nothing special. The only complaint I would have is the shower in the room. It’s very tiny with no privacy, one side is clear glass and the curtain doesn’t close all the way."

"We had a one day extended stay after A 10 day Greek Isle cruise before flying home in order to finish touring Tome, Vatican and Sistine Chapel. We arrived before checkin time. They allow you to store luggage, told us some good spots to eat. We returned less than an hour and our room was ready early. Able to put bags in room and literally walk across the street and up the steps to the Vatican! Fantastic location. It is NOT a real touristy area but nothing there is except the Vatican. "

"Not flashy but a great find for us. A short walk from the Rome train station. A free guided tour of the area with a local tour guide who loves his home city of Rome. Extremely friendly staff."

"What a gem so close to Termini Station! We needed one extra night in our Rome visit and are so glad we chose Columbia. The staff was friendly and welcoming, quickly responding to email requests in advance of our trip, helping us drop off our bags before checkin, and providing overall directions and advice. The room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The included breakfast was a really nice touch on a beautiful rooftop terrace. It was a great way to end our vacation!"

"A bit of an old fashioned room with amenities that could be renovated. There was some dust in corners of the floor of the bathroom. It was fine for one night though and super kind staff. "
